8349 98hhshar  ((PYRITE stalactite)),    $125 MINIMUM BID, Moonlite Claim, Bullion Canyon, Tooele County, Utah, 5.5 x 3 x 2 cm, Miniature,

Here is a uncommon to rare Pyrite. I've only had or seen about a dozen to two dozen specimens from this locality. I have never heard why this locality was never collected by field collectors in the 70's and 80's. Maybe nothing much was ever found or it was too difficult or dangerous. The Four Metals Mine was collected and there were hundreds, probably thousands of Pyrite specimens from the Four Metals Mine, also in Bullion Canyon. Moonlite Claim Pyrite has a mirror finish and has natural faces that resemble being polished. But these are natural. All the crystals are undamaged. The top two crystals has one with an indent from unusual growth and the other has a small contact. There is also a tight crack 1/3 from the bottom only seen or noticed with 5x magnification. Display side is aesthetic as seen in the first photo. Terminated Pyrite stalactites are uncommon themselves and here with the rare locality makes this one unique.
