8503 13bttjrs  ((VARISCITE, CRANDALLITE, WARDITE)), Repaired,  $100 MINIMUM BID, Little Green Monster Mine, Clay Canyon, Utah County, Utah,  16 x 10 x 1 cm,  Cabinet,

Here is the classic Utah locality from phosphate minerals, especially Variscite. This is a 1 cm slab cut and polished to a somewhat lustrous sheen, not a mirrow glassy luster. Many rare phosphates are from this locality. This specimen is vuggy and could contains other minerals but with the optivisor I did not see any obvious large crystals. The elongated vug weakened the specimen to the point that it cracked in half probably during sawing. It has been repaired and glued back together probably with epoxy. It is easily seen on the backside but not as much on the front. If fully polished it would even hide the repair even more. The specimen has three large area of green Variscite and pink altered Variscite along with yellow Crandallite and grey Wardite.
