14fhjwis   ((TOBELITE)),   $10 MINIMUM BID, Five Mile Pass, Tooele County, Utah,  5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm, Cabinet,

Here is a very rare ammonium bearing Mica with the Type Locality in Japan.  Utah was the second known locality.  Now a couple of more localities exist.  In Japan the mineral was mixed with other clay minerals.  Utah has a vein occurrence where the pure minerals material is available.  It is white and has a silky or shiny luster.  Kaolinite is similar and white but has a dull earthy luster and may also be visible in some specimens.  Any brown is iron oxide.    ex Jim and Paula Wilson and collected  around 1991.  Paula Wilson did her thesis on this mineral.
