| Miniature specimen of the rare polymorph of Cavansite. This miniaute has a druze of white Stilbite with 3 small blue groups of Pentagonite crystals, the largest is 3 mm in width. This first appeared about 3 years ago, but sources have now mostly dried up with new pockets not found. Pentagonite crystals are gemmy transparent blades where as Cavansite are opaque to translucent acicular spheres of blue crystals. Large Pentagonite specimens are very beautiful and very delicate. Most have considerable damage just from transport. |
