 Here is a large cabinet sized specimen from the Flambeau Mine. It is heavy an so has alot of Chalcocite or other copper ores. with small vugs of micro druze of blue Azurite. The Flambeau Chalcocites are modern classics and some of the best worldwide Chalcocite specimens. Specimens of associated minerals other than the great Chalcocites at the location were not collected and so are more uncommon than the great Chalcocites. The open pit high grade copper mine was mined by Kennecott Copper had a short life and is now totally reclaimed. collected by E Peterson, U of U dept of Geology and Geophysics, no label.
