14fhjwis   ((CUPRIAN ADAMITE or ZINCOLIVENITE)),   $5 MINIMUM BID, Gold Hill Mine, Gold Hill,  Tooele County, Utah,  8 x 5 x 3.5 cm, Cabinet

The Gold Hill Mine specimens were collected about 1991 by Jim Wilson.  This cabinet specimen has rounded mounds of bluish green Cuprian Adamite.  It has Cuprian Adamite on the front and back sides.     Specimens are harder and harder to find at Gold Hill since Gold Hill is a very popular collecting locality for local clubs, tours, and small commercial dealer collecting with its variety of species present.  It is one of the top Utah collecting localities for rockhounding.  In the 1990's specimens were alot easier to find and collection.  Also underground had been sealed shut by the state of Utah.   I am not sure if currently there is access underground of not.  ex Jim Wilson NOTE: An auction bidder mentioned that the green crystals with bluish hints were also found in 2008 by Pat Haynes. Analysis showed them to be Zincolivenite. Without analysis I do not know for sure on this one. Lookup both species from Gold Hill on mindat.org. Also photos under a microscope would also be helpful.
