 | Here is a large Calcite specimen from China which is similar in form to the first specimen. This one has many multi spherical masses of Marcasite both on the surface of the Calcite and included in the Calcite. The Calcite also has a dark reddish brown phantom Calcite crystal. The Marcasite are colored in several of the typical Marcasite colors. There is a couple of areas including the one termination with slight and minor chipping but over all undamaged and in great shape. Sits perfectly for display. Base is a cleaved surface which was sawn or partially ground to allow specimen to sit up. |
