Old material from an old Pennsylvania collection from a now flooded quarry and Pennsylvania classic locality.  Minerals are from an Alpine cleft type hydrothermal recrystalllization per mindat.org.  Matrix trap rock is Precambian igneous Amphibolite Gneiss.  Here is a fine specimen with hairlike Byssolite protruding from the Calcite and included within the greenish grey Calcite. Included needles of Byssolite can be seen on the side of the specimen.  ex Rick Haefer collection.
