20hhdw.is ((QUARTZ)), $65 MINIMUM BID, Yaogangxian Mine, Yaogangxian W-Sn ore field, Yizhang Co., Chenzhou, Hunan, China, 19 x 13.5 x 10 cm, Large Cabinet

Here is a large Quartz specimen from China. It was with the early specimens from the Yaogangxian Mine in China at Detrin Minerals large tent in Tucson. It sets for display on its side with the two large terminated Quartz crystals leaning right. Big and white and hard for me to photo so photos are poor. The central Quartz crystal is a thick tabular Quartz the makes up the entire body of the specimen. On mindat.org a large Quartz from this mine is described as faden Quartz. These large tabular Quartz crystals making up the body of this specimen are probably part of a huge faden Quarz. This is seen best from the opposite side from those two large terminated Quartz crystals. There are at least two Quartz crystals making up this large tabular or faden Quartz. This is seen somewhat in the other two photos even if the photos are poor. A bit hard to find a display position but sideways it sets on its own the those two crystal pointing to the right rather than point up in the photo to show the crystals better rather than blending in with the main body for the photo. However the best may be to highlight the large tabular, faden flat Quartz from the opposite side. ex Dana Wilson MD collection, ex Lehigh Minerals specimen.
