20hhdw.is   ((GOETHITE pseudomorph after PYRITE)),    $10 MINIMUM BID, Pelican Point, Utah County, Utah,  7 x 6.5 x 5 cm,  Cabinet,

Unprepped specimens from 20 years ago during the open pit mining operation one season. This on left over and never got prepped. It shows ithe hard clay like matrix between the crystals that needed to be bead blasted away to clean or hand processed with an air scribe tool or fossil prep setup. This one has some cracking that seems to happen on alot of these over time. This is an interesting reference specimen since the chipping, damage to some of the now Goethite ps Pyrite crystals show that the inside of the crystals are still Pyrite with the pseudomorphing not complete. A few specimens are this way while the majority are Goethite through out the crystal.
