98hhshnr   ((BARITE, minor FLUORITE)),   $50 MINIMUM BID, Cannon Claims, Dugway Mountains, Tooele County, Utah, 23 x 11 x 9 cm, Large Cabinet

7 pounds of Barite. Some damage, mainly on the right and left sides. The center Barite crystals are in good shape. Crystals are also lustrous. It is a large solid Barite specimen with some weight. These came out in the late 80's with the discovery of a very large pocket by local collectors. Private property with nothing coming out since. These crystals are thick. Many smaller specimens had thinner crystals and are hard to clean without breaking crystals and are not displayable. The larger specimens probably did not need cleaning or at least minimal. About 20% of specimens had Fluorite along one side of the Barite bladed crystals. This one has some of this Fluorite on the back non displayable side as seen in the back view photo as dark greenish purplish grey areas on the right side of the photo. The cubic Fluorite is not significant or displayable on this specimen. It is just there in minor amounts.
