Here is the classic Utah locality from phosphate minerals, especially Variscite. This is an end of a large phosphate nodule and cut and polished to a somewhat lustrous sheen, not a mirrow glassy luster. Many rare phosphates are from this locality. This specimen is vuggy and could contains other minerals but with the optivisor I did not see any obvious large crystals. Crandallite is the yellow brown and Wardite is the grey, usually bands or spherical forms. |
