 | Here is Ammolite from Utah and not Canada. It is from the ammonite Placenteris meeki that lived during the cretaceous, age of dinosaurs, about 65 to 100 million years ago. This one is mainly red. This has been prepped with epoxy to protect the delicate and thin shell containing the color. It is ready to be made into jewelry such as wire wrapping. Looking at it with my eye, I do not see the yellow brought out by the camera. I only see the orangish red. |
