Here is a single terminated Quartz crystal with a light brownish yellow coating with an iridescent coloration. It is a variety named Cactus Quartz because of a small terminated Quartz crystals totally covering the faces of the main single large crystal. This one has brown nodules that appear to be Goethite or Siderite in addition to the small secondard terminated Quartz. These have become very popular since their discovery 10 or more years ago. ex Dennis McMurdie collection, a local Utah teacher and mineral collector.
