11hhceis   ((GOETHITE pseudomorph after PYRITE)),   $10 MINIMUM BID, Pelican Point, Utah County, Utah, 2.5 x 2.3 x 2  cm,  Thumbnail,

Pelican Point is famous for its Goethite pseudos after Pyrite.  These were commercial open pit quarried and sold at Tucson one year.  These were singles and clusters of cubic Pyrite crystals.  Over the hill on the west side of the mountain it has since be discovered that pseudomorphs also occur but their crystal shape is pyritahedrons rather than cubes.   Here is a single complete crystal.  It has some damage or contact on one face which exposes the Pyrite core.  So this one has not been completely pseudomorphed to Goethite, only on about 1 to 2 MM on the outter surface.
