ws FLUORITE, SPHALERITE, Gordonsville Mine, Smith County, Tennessee, 5 x 4 x 3 cm | |
Color of Fluorite is more of a magenta, a reddish purple than the photos which show a bluish purple. The Sphalerite is lustrous and the main crystals are undamaged. The one edge of the Fluorite has a slight rub. Using the TN photo as reference, the large Fluorite on the upper left back has a large cleaved on the back. The cleavage surface has a matte finish rather than shiny and so must be an old pocket cleave. The specimen sits well and displays like the third photo. |
