FLUORITE with QUARTZ, Deer Trail Mine, Marysvale, Piute County, Utah, 4 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm | |
The Deer Trail Mine is well known for its dodecahedral green Fluorite which comes out of the mine covered with a Quartz druze which must be removed with Hydrofluoric acid. This is an unique specimen in that it has not been cleaned (the Quartz removed) with HF. This piece is aesthetic with the Quartz druze unlike most specimens. Some of the dodecahedral green Fluorite without the quartz is exposed. Again a unique specimen showing the natural occurance with the Quartz druze |
