15dm319    ((CALCITE)),   $50 MINIMUM BID, Buffalo Mine, Lion Hill area, Ophir District, Tooele County, Utah,  13 x 9.5 x 6.5 cm, Cabinet

Here is a cluster of undamaged scalenahedral calcite crystals. This looks like a floater cluster with healed contacted bottom side. It has mud inclusions giving it a gray dirty look, but is clean and lustrous. A few of these superb undamaged specimen clusters were found and collected by Solon Hammack about 20 years ago and sold to me along with some that did have some damage. I sold the lot of specimens with minor damaged to another dealer and Calcite collection at the West Springfield show 15 to 20 years ago and have not seen them ever for sale. I kept and still have the largest undamage specimens in my Utah collections and value them in the $400 to $800 each because of their condition rariety. Nothing even close has be collected since. This specimen I sold to Dennis many years ago.   ex Dennis McMurdie collection, ex Solon Hammack collection.
