Here is a specimen Proustite from Schlema. It is solid crystallized Proustite. One side has larger crystals that are dark in color. The other side has smaller dark red colored crystals shown in the close up. Proustite darkens when exposed to light and is usually kept in a box covered keeping light out. Prousite is one of the ruby silvers and is very desirable and very expensive. Bright red specimens are usually 5 figures. Moroccan specimens are usually lower and more affordable and have small crystals. Chile is the most desirable with Germany second. |
