 | Synthetic Zincite is well known from the smelter in Poland. Here is a much more uncommon specimen of smelter Zincite of New Jersey Zinc in Palmerton, Pennsylvania in operation from 1898 to 1980. Upgraded efficiency in Smelters cause these Zinc Oxide smelter accumulations to no longer occur. This looks like a spongy cluster of needle like white Zincite. Historic U.S. Zincite specimen. |
