1600422hhdwln.iss ((PYRITE SUN on SLATE)), $75 MINIMUM BID, Pashan, Poona, Maharashtra, India, 29 x 19.5 x 1.5 cm, pyrite is 8.5 x 8 cm, Large Cabinet

Photo take by hand and is blurry. Here is an older style when the suns were taken off, cleaned, and glued back in their original position. The upper right corner has slate 1 x 2 inches that is loose but attached. If it comes free it can be glue back in place with a tight fit. Newer ones use the slate from the locality but the suns are placed on a routed hole in the slate and so positioned where ever looks best. Now coal mines are closed and verified by a customer at the West Springfield shows that lives 20 miles from coal mines in Sparta, Illinois. So they will become uncommon except out of collections in the next year or so probably starting this year in Tucson. ex Renaud Vochten collection
