_small.jpg) | Here is a rare specimen probably almost never or never collected and saved. It has an uncut Phosphate 3 cm plus nodule in a large cabinet sized matrix specimen. It shows how these Variscite and Phosphate nodule occur in the matrix rock. This was collected in June, 2015 by me on the last dig on the claim when I got to go to the site and collect one day during the dig. I found and saved three of these matrix specimens. No others were collected or saved. Normally the nodules in matrix are removed from matrix and cut open. |
