_small.jpg) | Yellow straw like crystal of Holfertite in a small cavity in the white Rhyolite. Black Hematite flat crystals are also present. It is in a little darker hole and is easy to see with a loop but is hard to see with my eye. Hard to measure but probably 1 to 2 MM. Holfertite is a Uranium containing species. It is mounted in a perky box. ex John Holfert specimen and collected by John Holfert ie namesake of Holfertite. |
