Specimen collected in the 50's or 60's, Began in 1907 as a crushed stone quarry in the precambrian amphibolite gneiss Classic Alpine cleft type formation. It is still a gneiss pond in a wooded area but it is reported to be fensed with no swimming or drowning or collecting or any trespassing allowed. It was drained at one time looking for a body from fowl play but only a few old cars were found.
