16hhsh.is  ((CALCITE)),    $65 MINIMUM BID,  Buffalo Mine, Lion Hill, Ophir Mining District, Tooele County, Utah,  8 x 7.5 x 5 cm,  Cabinet

These have not been collected since the late 1990's.  Only a couple of dozen, ,maybe 30, of these were actually fish tail twinned crystals like this one.  This is a large specimen of the twins. It does have brown matrix contacted on the one crystal. Otherwise it would be a $300 to $600 specimen. The two generations of Calcite are seen under the bottom.  The first generation seen from the specimen bottom are grey scalenahedral twinned crystals.  Over these a second generation of Calcite with smaller crystals forming a white blanket over the first generation crystals.    No damage, just the contact.
