20hhgd.is    ((SCHORL, ALBITE)),  $125 MINIMUM BID,   Basha Nala, Shigar Valley, northeast of Skardu, Baltistan, Pakistan,  7 x 6.5 x 4 cm, Cabinet

Herb Obodda was a Fine Mineral Dealer for many years and now retired.  He traveled to Pakistan and Afghanistan years before the Taliban rule buying minerals direct from the miners.  There are many Erongo Schorls now but this is a quality specimen from Pakistan.  Herb had an old  $500 price tag on it.  I has a blocky white Albite crystal on the back or bottom side. I see perhaps three, make it four missing crystals with the others lustrous, terminated, and undamaged.  Glenn purchased it through Lavinsky Mineral Auctions.  Lavinsky purchase the Obodda collection after Herb retired.  ex Glenn Davidson collection. ex Lavinsky Mineral auctions specimen,  ex Herb Obodda specimen.
