_small.jpg) | Here is an excellent undamaged Calcite from Ophir. Between the Calcite and the matrix rock is a band of Fluorescent Scheelite. Under the Calcite , if etched with HCL dissolving the Calcite, the matrix would be covered with small yellow orange Scheelite crystals. ex Dave Bunk specimen purchased in 2005 . Calcite from Ophir are usually badly damaged since they all etched with HCl for the Scheelite under them. Therefore no care is taken when they are collected.
