 | This is a large cabinet sized specimen of the uncommon to rare mineral of Plattnerite. Have the specimen is black Plattnerite crystals and the other half in Calcite with some intermixed Plattnerite. The back side is also the same combination. It also have a natural stand and displays perfectly. It is damage free and it a great addition to a Mexican suite. I have Plattnerite specimens from the Hidden Treasure Mine in Utah but this is the only one I've seen from Mexico. This old specimen is from the Gil Griffin (Seattle) collection. |
