Lustrous unique Quartz specimen from Brazil. ex Weinrich Minerals specimen with label. Label says Quartz with Epidote Inclusions. With a loop the Epidote Inclusions seem to all be hollow with the Epidote dissolved away. Capelinha is famous for Epidote and this appears to be a Quartz that crystallized around a cluster of Epidote with naturally dissolved leaving the voids. Peering through the Quartz and at the opeings to the voids the shape is that of Epidote crystals. This is a strange and probably unique Quartz from Brazil. Nothing like this shows up on mindat.org.
