 | Terminated Epidote from the one time fine about 2006 brought to market by Wayne Thompson. It appears to be twinned or two parallel crystals grown together. Some of the termination faces have the micro sparkling hematite crystal coating typical on the side faces and termination faces of these Epidotes. They are very rare in the market place any more unless you know the one dealer that has a few left. All the large plates with large crystals for $15000 to $25000 back in about 2005 all are in collections and museums and not to be found for sale anylonger were sold in Wayne Thompsons room in the Executive Inn in Tucson. I was there and set up down the hall at the time and the Epidotes were impressive. Hotel rooms to set up were an outrageous $100 a night. So back then, $15000 to $25000 was alot of money! Now it costs that much for a couple of teeth implants or 100 gasoline fillups in California. |
