 | Here is a specimen with a 7 cm spray of dark green Epidote from Peru. The spray multiple terminations are not completely terminated. Terminations are not present. Most of these Peruvian Epidotes have damaged or missing terminations to some extent. Matrix specimens such as this are uncommon. This one has terminated milky Quartz. It also has Calcite. Most specimens have the Calcite removed by dissolving with HCl. This specimen had some partial etching but the crystals of Calcite were left, although rounded and shiny from the HCl. |
