 | Here is a specimen with a very lustrous 2.8 cm spray of dark green Epidote on Calcite with Quartz from Peru. The spray multiple terminations are completely terminated except for two. Most of these Peruvian Epidotes have damaged or missing terminations to some extent. Matrix specimens such as this are uncommon. It also has Calcite. Most specimens have the Calcite removed by dissolving with HCl. This specimen is very uncommon in that the Calcite faces are completely natural and have not been touched by HCl. |
