_small.jpg) | Rare older specimen from off limits Air Force Bombing Range. 30 or more years ago a local collector had permission and escort to do some collecting at the Wildcat locality and collected a few of these Fluorite specimens. The one side of this specimen is covered with Dolomite reported to be found at this locality. I did not take a photo of the Dolomite but the layer can be seen at the bottom of the photos. It is crystals resembling Calcite the small rhombs forming mounds of cream color. |
