 | I believe the Portlandite is the white tabular crystals which are about 3 or 4 MM or perhaps the white chalky mass in the center. The label says Porlandite WHITE which would make me think it refers to the white center mass. Mindat shows tabular crystals but does not show Portlandite from Iowa. This specimen is from a collection of micros and rare species in miniature sized specimens. A loop or microscope may be needed to view the actual species, especially crystals if present . |
