21hhdw.ns    ((VARISCITE)),     $20 MINIMUM BID, Amatrice Hill, Stansbury Mountains, Tooele County, Utah, 12 x 11 x 2 cm, Cabinet

There are three Variscite localities in Utah.  Most expensive and most famous is Clay Canyon.  Second at least in price is Lucin.  Third and the most uncommon is Amatrice Hill.  This locality is rarely seen for sale and usually surfaces from old collections collected years ago.  Here is a specimen of the Amatrice Hill Variscite.  Each locality in Utah has its own look and is easily identified.  All are used for lapidary and specimens.
