16hhjw.is ((CALCITE)), $25 MINIMUM BID, Buffalo Mine, Lion Hill, Ophir Mining District, Tooele County, Utah, 11 x 11 x 5.5 cm, Cabinet | |
These have not been collected since the late 1990's. A couple of dozen of these were actually fish tail twinned crystals. This is a non twinned aesthetic cluster of crystals with the two generations of Calcite. The first generation seen from the specimen bottom are grey scalenahedral crystals. Over these a second generation of Calcite with smaller crystals forming a white blanket over the first generation crystals. No damage. |
