 | NOTE; Specimen photos show specimen when it was 10.5 cm in length. 2 cm was loose and came apart on the left side. It actually improves the specimen which is now 8.5 cm in length. I will include both pieces. Here is a specimen with gemmy yellow Barite crystals. There is some damaged or missing crystals in some areas. The main crystals are fine gemmy transparent crystals with a minimal of damage. Looks exactly like the Meikle Mine Barites. Barrick Goldstrike is in Eureka County, Meikle is in Elko County. Label from Mineral Exploration says Barrick Goldstrike, Elko County, ex Dennis McMurdie collection, ex Mineral Exploration specimen #1402 with label. |
