99btsm.igss.ass ((POWELLITE, SCOLESITE, STILBITE, APOPHYLLITE)), FLUORESCENT,  $300 MINIMUM BID, Nasik, Maharashtra, India,   24 x 18 x 8 cm, Large Cabinet

Superb, aesthetic specimen with many excellent sprays of terminated Scolesite crystals lying paralled to the matrix intead of paralled to the matrix making it a great specimen to display standing up on a stand instead of sitting flat. One the matrix and Scolescite are small colorless double terminated blocking crystals of Apophylling and some large salmon colored Stilbite at the upper right side. On this same side is a large octahedral yellow Powellite crystal. Bottom half is mostly hidden but the top half measures 1.1 cm. This was a very large Powellite crystal prior to the famous huge crystals found about 2000. Powellite crystals of very FLUORESCENT with UVSW. This specimen was found in 1998 and at the Executive Inn, Tucson at the 1999 show. It was priced at $1800 at that time and became part of the large zeolite buy I made that year. It has been in my collection until the last couple of years. The opening is significantly less than the prorated cost for the specimen, even with the large purchase at the time to get a good discount. This lot of zeolites was my first major purchase after becoming a dealer in 1997.
