_small.jpg) | Here is a Pyrite from the open pit Copper mine in SLC from the 2010 find. It is a flattened Pyritahedral single crystal. The white is the clayish matrix material and could be removed with a water gun but left to show it as found. The indented faces have the odd growth that many if not most of these had. Looks almost like hoppered crystal growth |
