 | Grace was a Bethlehem Steel mine in Morgantown, Pennsylvania that was closed when cheap Japanese steel flooded the US market. These are lustrous black dodecahedral Magnetite crystals. I do not believe that many specimens were actually collected and saved by the mining activity. There has been limited collecting from the dumps covered by the heavy east coast vegetation. I think this was one collected on the dumps since the mine was closed. |
