15dm1016 ((SPINEL, CHONDRODITE, FLUOBORITE, CALITE)), FLUORESCENT, $20 MINIMUM BID, Newton, New Jersey, 4 x 4 x 3 cm, Miniature | |
Here is a great Fluorescent specimen. Calcite does not fluoresce. Spinel is black and does not fluoresce. But the brown is evidently Chrondrodite and is fluorescent bright yellow. mindat Chondrodite from New Jersey has a fine and similar fluorescent photo of the fluorescent yellow Chondrodite. One of the Chondrodite specimen photos has Fluoborite. Fluoborite is white and cannot be seen since it blends in with the calcite. But it has bright bluish white fluorescent almost like Scheelite. ex Dennis McMurdie collection. |
