 | Here is a gem crystal of sherry colored Utah Topaz on matrix. No damage. It has been repaired with the crystal cleaved from the base about 20 to 25% up from the bottom of the crystal. It probably popped off when hammering a chisel trying to remove it from a large block of rhyolite. Topaz has a basal cleavage and shocking it from a hammer blow easily pops the crystal. It still has no damage and is a pretty gemmy crystal. |
