| Here is a Topaz cluster that looks like the Utah, Thomas Range specimens, but this is a Mexican Topaz. The tips are slightly darker than the rest of the crystal which is characteristic of Mexican specimens. A great undamaged thumbnail with a double terminated crystal with several single terminated crystals making a nice cluster. These are much more stable than their Utah cousins and do not fade in sunlight , at least as quickly. They still should not be in direct sunlight but at better suited for cabinet display than the Utah Topaz. |
