 | Here is a fine specimen of the rare species Durangite from Utah. This speicmen is from the small pod of crystals found many years ago and since completely collected. The dark matrix is comprised of small platelets of Hematite crystals. Small lustrous orange crystals of Durangite cover the specimen. Viewing best with a loop. Cassiterite is also present and probably the brown coating on the Hematite. ex Dennis McMurdie collection. |
