16hhad.g ((CRANDALLITE nodule)), $20 MINIMUM BID, Little Green Monster Variscite Mine, Clay Canyon, Fairfield, Oquirrh Mts, Utah Co., Utah, , 8.5 x 6.5 x 5 cm, Cabinet | |
An ugly nodule looking at the outside know as Leaverite. Leave her right there. But after sawn in half and polished it is an interested specimen of Crandallite from the classic Little Green Monster Mine in Utah famous for its Variscite. These specimens void of the more valuble green Variscite are not usually seen for sale. These are interesting and a reference addition to a Utah suite illustrating not all nodules contain Variscite. Perhaps only 20%. The nodules must be sawn in half to actually find out. This Crandallite nodule has several areas of Crandallite with voids. Voids sometimes contains other rare phosphate species. These are probably only voids within the Crandallite |
