6hevd.r   ((TALC)),  $5 MINIMUM BID,  Argonaut Mine, Ludlow, Vermont, 4 x 3.5 x .2 cm, Miniature

Gem green Talc. Pretty translucent Talc from Vermont. A large pod of pure Talc collected by a local with permission from a Talc Mine. It was "too pure" for processing. The mine was owned at the time by Rio Tinto, owners of the Bingham Copper mine in Utah. It has since been sold and any access or collecting is strictly prohibited. I had purchased all that was available at wholesale price and had several hundred flats at the time. I sold over 400 specimens to the mineral of the month club. I only have a few cabinet superb specimens left. This is one miscellaneous miniature that I came across in some miscellaneous flats.

Sold For: $5
