Many specimens have secondary growth of white opaque small Calcite crystals forming a snow like white covering over the terminations but is not present on this specimen. The peaks of the original crystals like a mountain range after the snow melted. Old material that will probably never be collected again. Access is not allowed by owners. Collected in the late 80's to early 90's by Solon Hammack a prominent Utah field collector in the 80's. ex Solon Hammack collection. |
