8ehmmrtr   ((BARAHONAITE Al)),   $15 MINIMUM BID, 80' Adit, Gold Hill Mine, Tooele County, Utahr  6.5 x 6 x 2 cm, Miniature to Small Cabinet,

Here is a light blue arsenate with aluminum.  Here is a fine specimen with a couple of small vugs of the rounded bumpy micro crystalline Barahonaite Al. It was a newly described mineral as of a few of years ago. Just prior to being a new mineral, several flats were collected before the underground entrances at Gold Hill were sealed. I purchased this lot of this rare species specimens from the collectors several years ago and now have the main supply. Even though the type locality was from Spain along with Barahonaite Fe, The process of describing a new mineral was going on for years from the Gold Hill material and was first found at Gold Hill as a unknown many years ago prior to being described. But the work of describing the species from Gold Hill dragged on for years and years. The material from Spain started to be described later and finished before the Gold Hill material was finished being described. So the type locality is officially Spain.
