Fern fossils from the Llewellyn Formation, 300-308 million years old. This specimen has a variety of species and is populated on front and back side. It is the home of a rare occurrance. Ferns were replaced by Pyrite and then the Pyrite was replaced by white Pyrophyllite. This made white fern fossils on black shale. Few if any other locality exists where this has happened
