_small.jpg) | The fluorescent red orange massive Calcite has been naturally etched leaving raised crystals of Zincite, Franklinite, and Willemite that were once not raised and within the outside edges of the Calcite. Zincite has reddish brown non fluorescent glassy crystals. Willemite has lighter tan colored crystals which are fluorescent green. Franklinite has black non fluorescent crystals. Massive Calcite is fluorescent red orange. Most crystals are high without top faces. Some however are not as high and have faces on the crystals being etched from within the Calcite. Etching does not look like done by man. It looks naturally etched or weathered. ex Dennis McMurdie collection. |
